I care about community violence
I am currently leading a project funded by the Cleveland Police Commission that uses arts-based engagement to address community violence. This initiative employs a proven methodology to facilitate essential dialogue between district police officers, local youth, and community stakeholders.
Through a series of guided sessions, participants will co-create visual narratives and draft stories that explore the root causes and impacts of violence in their community. The goal of this process is to move beyond discussion and collectively identify actionable, community-defined strategies for safety and healing.

This image shows that the true cost of violence isn't just a statistic; it's a mother, a sister, a brother, a son who has to sit on a stage and hold a memory because they can no longer hold a person. We carry them into every room, hoping that by making our pain this visible, we can force a change. We are here so that you cannot look away. The question this picture asks is: What will you do so that no more families have to join us on this stage?"
